I have been fortunate enough to be the Confirmation Sponsor for several awesome kids. One of them, Marc Barnes, runs an excellent Catholic Blog - Bad Catholic... check it out!

Fr. Thomas King, SJ (1929-2009) - A Georgetown Jesuit Giant

Since the late 90s, when I was a student at UVA, I have been a fan of Fr. Thomas King, SJ. I often used to go to the 11:15 pm mass at Georgetown on my way back to Charlottesville after weekend visits at my parents' house in Silver Spring. Fr. King's homilies were the most moving and intellectually stimulating that I had ever heard. Needless to say, when I heard Fr. King passed away in 2009, I was truly saddened. In the years since then, I have occasionally searched for YouTube or other sources of his homilies, since I knew they had been recorded. I felt great joy when I found out that now, finally, there were YouTube uploads of Fr. King's homilies. I would like to contribute five homilies from the fall of 1999 from a tape I had purchased at the end of that semester.
